Experienced babysitter, looking for a job in Belgium

Dear families, My name is María, I'm 25 years old, and I'm moving to Belgium in January 2026 to start a new chapter in my life. Although I'm an Economist and a Lawyer by profession, childcare has always been a big part of who I am. I'm planning to take small steps as I settle into my new life, and for the moment, I’m looking for a job that allows me to integrate gradually into Belgian life and culture. Becoming part of a family's daily rhythm through childcare feels like a natural and meaningful way to do that. I'm also the eldest of nine siblings (yes, nine!) so caring for little ones is second nature to me. My youngest sister, Pilar, is 5 years old, and I've been changing diapers, helping with homework, cooking meals, and keeping things tidy for as long as I can remember. And I truly enjoy it. In the summer of 2021, I worked as an Au Pair in Atlanta, GA (USA), caring full-time for a sweet one-year-old girl. I still have a close relationship with the family. I've also spent two weeks with another family, looking after a 4-year-old and a newborn while the parents enjoyed a skiing holiday. Beyond that, I’ve volunteered at summer camps, leading outdoor games, crafts, and fun activities from early morning until late at night. I love drawing, playing the guitar, reading, and spending quality time with loved ones. Oh!! and I love cooking, and I’m pretty good at it too! :) I’m really looking forward to meeting you.
